Abstract:
The advent of digital technology has changed the landscape of legal evidence, necessitating a
change in the legal framework designed for physical records. The importance of electronic
evidence, where 65A and 65B are mentioned. The sections describe the admissibility of electronic
records and the circumstances in which they are admissible in court. The review examines the
safeguards required to maintain the authenticity and reliability of such evidence, including the
challenge of ensuring the authenticity and chain of custody of electronic documents, including
monitoring in a digital environment. The paper concludes by identifying gaps and suggesting
improvements to make electronic evidence more effective and reliable in today's legal
