Abstract:
Environmental Protection is vital for the survival of humans and other living organisms.
Environmental protection requires protection of air, water, water, biodiversity etc. Each of these
is essential for our environment. One will fail or collapse without the other. In recent times,
climate change has emerged as one of the threat for our environment. Effects of climate change
has caused environmental crisis all around the world. As a result of climate change, the world
has faced severe heatwaves, flash floods, massive cyclones, drought etc. To combat these natural
disasters and to protect our environment, every country has implemented environmental
protection policy. Some countries are better at environmental protection, while some countries
are still struggling to implement effective protection mechanism. In Bangladesh, environmental
protection has gained momentum in 21st century. There are several laws, institutions to protect
environment. However, Bangladesh’s effort fall short because, current practices is not sufficient
to tackle environmental challenges.
