dc.description.abstract The conception of human right has been evolving over a period of time taking many forms that cater to the current demands and challenges from society. However, in some decades, there has evolved a third generation of human rights or collective rights, which accepts the collective interest of communities and of humanity at large. Considering the context of Bangladesh, the adoption of these rights has drawn serious attention mainly because of the special socio-economic and environmental vulnerabilities faced by the country as a whole. Third general human rights speak to be need to respond to some current global challenges like environmental degradation inequality and the disempowerment of indigenous people. Realization of third generation rights in Bangladesh is also hampered by a lot of issues such as corruption, week institutional capacity and poor enforcement of existing laws which have impeded progress in a number of areas such as environmental protection, sustainable development, and rights of indigenous peoples. The originality of this research comprises scrutiny of third generation human rights. Since these rights provide a basis for crucial collection action among countries battling problems regarding sustainable development. en_US
