Abstract:
This research monograph explores the Methods and Mechanisms of International Trade
Dispute Resolution: Problems and Challenges, focusing on the legal frameworks, operational
procedures, and practical issues encountered in resolving trade disputes. It examines the role
of key international institutions, particularly the World Trade Organization (WTO), and
analyzes dispute resolution mechanisms under regional and bilateral trade agreements. The
study identifies critical challenges, including procedural complexities, power imbalances
between developed and developing nations, delays in resolution processes, and the lack of
inclusivity and transparency. It also highlights emerging issues, such as the rise of digital trade
and the inadequacy of traditional mechanisms to address modern trade complexities. Through
a qualitative methodology combining doctrinal legal analysis, case studies, and expert
opinions, the research evaluates the effectiveness and fairness of current systems and offers
practical recommendations to improve efficiency, ensure equitable access, and address
enforcement challenges. By proposing reforms and emphasizing the importance of adaptability,
this study contributes to the ongoing discourse on creating a more inclusive and sustainable
international trade dispute resolution framework.
