Abstract

Indigenous peoples hold the right to preserve, control, protect, and develop their cultural heritage, traditional knowledge, and expressions of traditional cultural heritage. This includes the manifestations of their sciences, technologies, and cultural practices, such as genetic resources, seeds, medicines, and collective knowledge that belong to the communities which have cultivated and developed this knowledge over time. It encompasses practices, instructions, and wisdom passed down through generations within indigenous communities.
