Abstract:
his research monograph explores the recognition and implementation of women's rights
through international legal instruments. It critically examines key treaties, conventions,
and frameworks such as the CEDAW, ICCPR, and ICESCR, alongside regional
mechanisms like the Istanbul Convention and Maputo Protocol. The study delves into
historical, cultural, and institutional barriers to achieving gender equality, highlighting
systemic gaps between policy and practice. By analyzing the role of international
organizations, NGOs, and courts, the research underscores the importance of addressing
socio-political challenges, promoting grassroots advocacy, and aligning domestic laws
with international standards. It concludes with actionable recommendations for improving
global women's rights enforcement.
