Abstract:
The Hazardous Waste (E-Waste) Management Rule, 2021 represents a great effort to address the
environmental hazards posed by the improper disposal of electronic waste. At its core, the rule
outlines guidelines for the proper handling, collection, transportation, and disposal of e-waste. It
places responsibility on producers, consumers, and the government to ensure the safe and
sustainable management of electronic waste. The legal framework emphasizes the need for
recycling and environmentally friendly disposal methods, reflecting a growing global
consciousness about the environmental consequences of unchecked technological progress. One
