Abstract:
The concept of Asaba, also known as residuaries, holds significant importance in the inheritance
system under Islamic Shariah law. Asaba refers to the group of relatives who inherit the remaining
estate after the specified shares of the Quranic heirs have been distributed. The determination of
priority among Asaba members is crucial for ensuring a fair and equitable distribution of the
deceased's property. The study delves into the concept of Asaba, exploring the rules that govern
priority determination among Asaba members. The study examines the various factors that
influence priority, including the degree of kinship, gender, and presence of certain conditions.
