Abstract:
Extramarital affairs have become a common occurrence in modern society. Many studies have pointed to the lack of variety in a relationship as a contributing factor related to divorce and extramarital affairs. This study wants to explore the reasons behind developing extramarital ff r in married adults. The study is based upon the information gathered through scanning newspapers, journals, books, and browsing the Internet and all related papers that you found. However, there is limited data on the specific topic. After reviewing the literature, we found some common factors that might be responsible for extramarital affairs. Based on that we have made some recommendations for lowering this devastating situation.
This study investigates the present condition and consequences of Extra-Marital Affairs and finds women commit this with an ex-lover, relative, known person, and in some cases with an unknown person. Social media such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Viber, IMO, etc. are common tools to commit adultery nowadays. Lack of moral sense, degenerate culture, lack of family bonding, and technological development are the main causes for committing Extra-Marital Affairs and as consequences murder, divorce, spouse violence, domestic violence, flogging, sexually transmitted diseases, honor-killing, stoning, etc are the result of Extra-Marital. It is conducted based on secondary resources which are collected from books, articles, newspapers, and authentic websites. This study tries to describe adultery through opportunity theory where adultery is thought a result of getting more opportunities. Legal authorities can get a clear idea about the conditions and consequences of Extra-Marital which can help the government to create policies to decrease extramarital affairs in Bangladesh.
