Abstract:
Any culture has criminality permeating every aspect of social life. Criminal investigative evidence is essential in this process since all crimes are examined within the confines of the law. The criminal justice system aims to identify the perpetrator and compensate the victims based on evidence that is beyond a reasonable doubt. This study's main goal is to address the ideas of biological evidence in criminal investigations and its beneficial effects on the process of conducting criminal investigations. The significance of biological evidence will also be highlighted; for this essay, secondary materials linked to the field of criminal investigation were examined. Evidence, Locard's exchange principle, circumstantial evidence, physical evidence, and biological evidence were categorized as study concepts. Of the 11 distinct types of biological evidence, blood, semen, vaginal secretions, saliva, urine, sweat, tears, feces, nasal secretions, and hair have all been identified. As a result, modern technology makes it possible to identify actual offenders by using biological evidence uncovered during a criminal investigation. The use of DNA analysis methods has increased the significance of biological evidence. In the process of conducting a contemporary criminal investigation, biological evidence is often regarded as a significant sort of evidence.
