Abstract:
The study provides an analysis and makes recommendations regarding how dual source renewable energies may be a practical alternative for generating electricity in an isolated location. Understanding the role that renewable energy plays in sustainable rural development and a cleaner environment requires positioning in a local and regional environment. In order to do a long-term socio study of the hybrid energy system, the Electrical Transient Analyzer Program (ETAP) is employed. Five PV arrays with a 10 KW capacity each, five wind generators with a 10 KW capacity each, one diesel generator with a 50 KW capacity, and a grid-connected system are used to form a dual-source renewable hybrid power plant. In order to generate, transmit, and distribute electricity, the IEEE 16 bus system was employed. Several analyses, including load flow analysis, arc flash analysis, short circuit analysis, voltage stability, and harmonic analysis, are briefly given in this study. To protect the project's equipment, circuit breakers, current transformers, and overcurrent relays were employed in all bus bars, transformers, and loads. The overall cost to construct this hybrid power plant will be lower because there is no energy storage system. Considering Bangladesh's challenging geographic location, this study will offer a wealth of opportunities for improving renewable energy generation at a low cost.
