In a country where justice is often delayed, denied, or distorted, the need for a reformed
criminal justice system in Bangladesh has never been more pressing. This ground breaking
research embarks on a comprehensive journey to expose the deep-seated challenges,
inefficiencies, and corruption that plague the system, and to chart a new course for a more
just, equitable, and humane society. Through a meticulous examination of the conceptual
ideas, challenges, and problems in the criminal justice system, this study sheds light on the
dark corners of the system and identifies the need for radical reform. With a keen focus on
the legal framework, institutional framework, and emerging issues, this research provides a
nuanced understanding of the complexities of the system and proposes bold
recommendations for reform. From the establishment of an independent and impartial police
complaints commission to the promotion of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, this
study presents a roadmap for transforming the criminal justice system in Bangladesh and
