dc.description.abstract In Bangladesh, dengue epidemics have emerged as an urgent matter, inflicting substantial detriment and deprivation upon both communities and individuals. To address the consequences of such epidemics, it is essential to determine compensation for the victims in accordance with the principle of tortious liability. The objective of this abstract is to provide insight into the utilization of tort law as it pertains to dengue epidemics in Bangladesh. The legal principle of tortious liability establishes the responsibility of individuals or entities for any damage or injury caused to others as a result of their actions or negligence. This principle may be utilized to ascertain liability and subsequently compensate victims affected by dengue outbreaks. The primary accountability for managing dengue outbreaks in Bangladesh resides with healthcare institutions and local government authorities. However, in the event that they neglect to implement essential preventive measures or react insufficiently to such outbreaks, they may incur liability in accordance with the tortious liability principle. In order to obtain compensation, one may initiate civil litigation against the liable parties. In addition to pain and suffering, medical expenses, and loss of income, victims of dengue infestations may be entitled to compensation for other damages. The victims bear the burden of proof, which requires them to demonstrate that the responsible parties' negligence or unlawful actions caused the outbreak. It is critical that the Bangladeshi legal system recognize the significance of compensating dengue outbreak victims. By ensuring that those who neglect their obligations are held responsible, the tortuous liability principle can be a useful instrument in obtaining redress for the victims and justice. en_US
